What are crepes?
Crepes are thin pancakes that can be made sweet or savory. They are versatile dishes for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Basic crepes are made with just a few simple ingredients: flour, eggs, milk, and butter.
To make a basic crepe:
- Start by whisking together the flour, eggs, and milk in a bowl.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and melt some butter in it.
- Pour 1/4 cup of the batter into the pan when the butter has melted, tilting the pan to spread the batter evenly across the bottom.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until the crepe is golden brown, then flip and cook on the other side for another minute.
- Serve with your favorite toppings, and enjoy!
